Books:
Anger
by Thich Nhat Than: written by an acclaimed buddhist monk, however,
religion has nothing to do with the powerful message he has
here. If you have a storm brewing inside of you, this book will
help to calm it.
The
Heart Sutra by Thich Nhat Than: once again, religion has nothing
to do with it. This book is energized with compassion and insight.
There's
Nothing Wrong With You by Cheri Huber: invites the reader
to go against all that they may have heard and truly resonate
with the title.
The
Depression Book by Cheri Huber: looks at depression
based on Zen philosophy. Great for someone who is looking for
a comprehensive and creative way to uplift themselves.
Retreats:
Vipassana
Meditation Center (Meditation retreats). This past Spring I spent
10 days in silence, meditating for 11 hours per day. It was very
peaceful and brought much clarity - and my creativity flowed deeper
than I had ever thought possible.
Camp
Buckhorn I recently went on a retreat there. It is a very
peaceful and quiet place if you're looking for some alone time.
